About Me
The Girl Scout behind the project.
Hello — and thank you for visiting. This website is my Girl Scout Silver Award project, and it grew out of a simple feeling: that the people I love most have stories I have never heard, and one day I will wish I had asked.
Family history isn't something only historians get to keep. It belongs to all of us. My hope is that this small archive of guides and printable question sheets makes it a little easier for other kids, teens, and families to sit down with their elders and listen.
The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest honor a Cadette can earn. It asks us to identify a problem in our community, design a solution, and create something that lasts. I chose family-memory preservation because stories disappear quietly — and once they're gone, no one can bring them back.
This site will stay online so families, schools, libraries, and youth groups can keep using these tools long after my project is finished. If it helps even one conversation happen that wouldn't have happened otherwise, it will have done its job.
With gratitude
— A Girl Scout Cadette
